alice29 2 Report post Posted February 23, 2011 There has never been a book written in the same way as the Bible! * The Bible was written by over 40 authors… * who wrote from 3 different continents: Asia, Africa and Europe… * in many different places: wilderness, prison, traveling, islands… * at different times; covering a span of 1,500 years… * who did different kinds of jobs: fishermen, kings, shepherds, a herdsman, a politician, a doctor, a tax collector, a rabbinical scholar and more. They all wrote about the same thing, and without any contradictions!

alice29 2 Report post Posted February 23, 2011 i dont know about this bible version yet until you told it here. is it written in Latin? whats the difference?
pjbabia 1 Report post Posted February 23, 2011 the Latin Vulagate is in English, taken from the word Vulgata which means approved by the Church.. the Douay Rhiems are the accepted and more accurate translation of the Latin Vulgate.
alice29 2 Report post Posted February 23, 2011 okay thanks for telling me. seems that you know a lot about bible. but getting that would be very expensive. if you have relatives on that country then maybe you can just ask them to buy you.
pjbabia 1 Report post Posted February 24, 2011 there is actually a store in Manila on Our Lady of Victories Church in New Manila Quezon City. They sell Douay Rheim Bible. I think its 3000 Pesos per copy. Their difference is that the Douay Rheim version have accurate translation while the newer versions do have a lot of mis interpreted translation and most of them are Protestant Bible. amcfx 2 Report post Posted February 24, 2011 Do you have a problem with a protestant bible? Or you don't like their translation? (King james version is what my church prefers) Quote ================================================ I'm an Asian so I trade with Instaforex - Asia's #1 broker! ================================================

amcfx 2 Report post Posted February 24, 2011 King James version contain a lot of translation errors.. also they removed some books in the bible to fit their needs... I think its the same with other sub branches of Christianity to remove any books they don't find fit. But anyway, for a clean, not provocative discussion sake's let's leave this job to the religious heads and its their burden later for keeping some of the holy books away from the public's knowledge. rāmo 2 Report post Posted November 7, 2011 My favorite book is Revelations. It talks about nations rising against nations. False prophets. It's all taking place right before our eyes. The mark of the beast is not far away, as far as I can tell. Quote Own Your Own Lead Company Network Power Group
