What is Forex?

Foreign exchange, or Forex for short, is quite simply a market where you’re able to exchange one currency for another. When you ‘sell’ a currency, there is a buyer for that currency somewhere else. Now, the exchange rate between those two currencies is what’s important when trading forex. The exchange rate is constantly fluctuating, and it’s these fluctuations that allow market speculators to earn from trading.

Predict the NFP figure

for your Chance to Win!

Feel the rush of the Non-Farm Payroll event that sends the major instruments into complete turmoil.
Think you know what the monthly US labour report will uncover this time?
Then put your trader’s intuition to a test with Tickmill’s one-of-a-kind NFP Machine campaign and grab the chance to win!

The rules are simpler than ever. During every NFP week, we will choose one instrument and challenge you to guess its price on our MT4 platform at 16:00, exactly 30 minutes after the NFP release. A perfect hit will bring you as much as $500 to your trading account. If no one breaks the bank by an exact figure, the trader with the closest prediction will cash in a $200 prize.

The whole action will take place on the Woobox platform. Just place your prediction and provide your trading account number along with your full name from Monday 0:00 till Friday 15:00 on the NFP week and leave the rest to us.

How Does

Copy Trading Work?

When you decide who you wish to follow, you simply begin to follow them, and their trades will be replicated in your account. If they open a trade, that same trade will be opened in your account, and should that trade be successful, yours will too!

The AutoTrade system was designed specifically to ensure smooth and correct mirror trading. When you subscribe to an AutoTrade provider, you can change the multiplier value (either at subscribing or afterwards in your management screen). Changing this value will show you immediately the hypothetical return and risk you could have based on the data gathered so far. A multiplier of value 1 means you're getting the same risk ratio as the provider.

What are forex spreads?
When you begin trading, you’ll notice that you’re given a ‘bid’ (or ‘sell’) price and an ‘ask’ (or ‘buy’) price. The ‘bid’ is the price at which you sell the base currency, and the ‘ask’ is the price at which you buy the base currency. The difference between these two prices is what we call the spread

HOW-TO

Trade Bonds

Bond price is affected by changing market sentiments and the economic landscape, with the most influential price drivers being interest rates, yield and the bonds rating. However, understanding the relationship between a bond’s price and external factors is somewhat complex.

Let’s look at interest rates as an example:
Due to inflation, the government decides to raise interest rates. When this happens the interest rate on the bond increases, meaning that the yield, or amount paid back to the investor, will fall. In turn this causes the bond’s price to decrease, because it’s worth less to the original investor!
