What is the difference between a do-follow and no-follow and how are they used?

Recommended Posts

Do follow and no follow are link attributes and contain instructions for search engine robots. Do follow links are crawled and indexed in search engines whereas no follow links are never crawled and indexed in search engines.

A NoFollow link is a site link that does not pass the link juice or it’s page’s favor link, does not boost PageRank, and doesn’t help a page’s placement in the SERPs.

Dofollow link passes link juice and they definitely help you much, in order to achieve good page rank.

The only technical difference between the two is that a nofollow link has a nofollow tag. As a user, it's impossible to tell the difference between a nofollow and dofollow link. You can click on, copy and use a nofollow link like any other link on the web
