What is an “Umbrella Keyword” in SEO?

Recommended Posts

An umbrella keyword would be a keyword for which many long-tail variation keywords exist. In that sense it is a 'broad' term, the very opposite of a specific term. If you would like to rank for an umbrella keyword, then you should make a page optimized for that keyword as a “parent” page in your site map.

Hi Friend,

Umbrella keyword stands for long tail keywords in SEO.

Which results in search regarding that keyword. An easy indicator of the SEO value of a keyword can be found by multiplying the estimated visits (traffic) by the average cost per click. It's really hard to rank for an umbrella keyword as its very complicated. Afterward, you consider the resulting value in light of how hard it is to rank for that keyword. it is not a valuable keyword inserted but its very complicated.

An umbrella keyword is a keyword that fits many other different long tail keywords under its “umbrella”.

For instance: search engine traffic is an umbrella keyword in relation to:

  • Best search engine traffic
  • Search engine traffic for my business
  • Business leads and search engine traffic
