There are various factors indicates KPI in Google analytics while it have a lot of metrics & dimensions to measure.

KPI varies based on your business goals.

If we take a traditional business, our KPI will be store visitors or customers who filled the feedback form about the store.

When it comes to KPI in digital business. it varies based on your goals you set.

KPI might be website traffic by tracking how many clicks generated for a particular duration or might be filling the form of any campaigns in the landing page which you promoted or how long user engaged on your web content (avg. session duration)

Most common KPI goals in Google analytics will be

  1. How many users visited your website in a particular period? : Total number of clicks
  2. How many conversions generated for your campaign? : Total number of conversions
  3. How much goal conversion rate for your campaign? : Goal conversion rate
  4. How long user engaged on your website? : Avg. session duration, bounce rate.

Identify the right goals for your business and set KPI according to your goal objective.
