What sets Google apart is how it ranks its results, which determines the order Googledisplays results on its search engine results pages. Google uses a trademarked algorithm called PageRank, which assigns each Web page a relevancy score.

It is their unique algorithm known as PAGE RANK (PR) is a quality metric invented byGoogle's owners Larry Page and Sergey Brin. The values 0 to 10 determine a page's importance, reliability and authority on the web according to Google. This metric does not, however, directly affect a website's search engine ranking.
