Please explain me about events in Google analytic?

Recommended Posts

Events are user interactions with content that can be measured independently from a web page or a screen load. Downloads, mobile ad clicks, gadgets, Flash elements, AJAX embedded elements, and video plays are all examples of actions you might want to measure as Events.

Event tracking allows you to count interactions that don’t necessarily involve loading another page on your website. Google Analytics goals can be set up based on your events.

You can set-up Google Analytics by adding the Event Tracking code manually or you can use Google Tag Manager.

Each event is made up of four components that you define. These are category, action, label, and value.
