It’s only a matter of time before water becomes a traded commodity like oil, gold and silver. When demand exceeds supply, business steps up to find a way to meet that demand. But to do so it will faces massive costs. As a result the market will have to set a price for life’s most precious commodity.

According to the UN 40% of the world’s population will be living with water scarcity by 2035. Population growth, increased agriculture and industrialisation will propel the world’s need for fresh, clean water to 55% higher than today’s supply levels by 2050.

In an attempt to stem increasing demand, governments are preventing industries using underground sourcing. They’re forced to invest in desalination or waste water recycling plants to meet needs.

The oil-war has affected the basic need of mankind-water. The countries need to set their priorities on building water reserves. Water is becoming a scarcity especially in third world countries. We need to stop indulging in politics and start practical actions.

I am sorry but you are right. We are not giving water the importance it deserves. We are taking it for granted. Global Warming is real and the ice caps are melting. The world is not making enough reservoirs for its storage. The World needs to take action for the next generation.

I am afraid to say but you are right. We are not doing enough to preserve this blessing of God. The world has entered into a weapon's war that they have forgotten they can't survive without water. The world needs to sit down and think of their children's future. How will we make eye contact with them?
