I looked at this but their was only 3 things i didn't like.

the sponsored domain no customs
the difficulty to refer people in todays economy
the website full of marketing no nice designs all just join now this person made xxx ...yada yada

Yes, your domain sadly won't be unique, but your content can be. You can throw out all the EN promotional material and customize it the way you want. If you have two blogs, you can use the EN blog exlusively to promote the other one. Or you can leave the EN blog alone, and use its tools to create search-engine optimized content and copy it to your other blog's dashboard.

yes that is true if you sign up without a sponsor, you will get lost fast. do use david varga to help you;)

the only way I would consider using en is if I build a popular network with 1,000-2,000 page views a day. at that point i can build a en blog and just update it with new ideas for my website and put links asking people to join. as soon as 1 person join you will minimum break even or possibly make more money depending on their package.
