If your blog’s SEO is very good with a lot of backlinks, the search engines will automatically put your blog/site on the front page, moreover if your blog’s keywords is quite strong, search engine will place your blog/site in top positions.

The more the number of backlinks that point to your site, then the search engines will greatly prioritize your blog. And guess what will you get, the more famous of your site by being at the top position on search engines.

And this is the most important thing, your PageRank will increase if there are so many backlinks that point to your site.

Not necessarily. Many starting websites that you work with come with basic optimization and with enough backlinks you can actually do well.

Content is still the king for me. Even though you have many backlinks though your content is not that much informative, still you has a slight chance of topping search engines. Focus first in building a strong content before posting backlinks. :)

Agreed dana. At the thread creator, be careful when you say, SEO and backlinks as one because they are very different. In my opinion, backlinks are way more important than SEO. Thanks for your post!
