Many of us can relate today with someone who has been retired early or their company has "cut back". Isn't that correct?? We not only know someone who has been laid off or downsized, but there may even be a good chance we could end up in the same boat sooner rather than later.

Many think then of "What would happen it"? What if I started my own business? What if I became the boss? What if I made the decisions? How about if for a change I made the profit? Why can't I drive this train? Now there is a mess of :what if's and why not's, isn't it?

Then, if I did begin my own business, what would I do? Do you have any special skills someone would be willing to pay you for? Do you? Perhaps there anything you have always wished you could do, besides just make a living? Could you actually get paid for it? Could you really support yourself doing it?

Everyone equates Working at Home today with Internet Marketing. In reality that is not very accurate. Stop for a minute and analyze your own life. Do you personally know anyone who works from their home? Anybody? I bet you do!

But you know, usually they really work for someone else, don't they? They are most likely telecommuters, data transcription, in some type of sales for a company or something of that nature. Isn't that correct?

How many actually sit at home and work for "themselves"? I bet none of the ones you thought about are really "self employed, are they?

And there isn't a thing wrong with that... is there? Well... maybe just one thing. IT IS STILL JUST A JOB! Now isn't what we mean when we talk about a Work at Home Business being self employed? Of course it is! We want to be the boss, the owner, then one in charge! That's the whole thing in a word, isn't it?

So let us look into the Internet to achieve getting into business for ourselves. How do we get started? Will we have to know HTML? Do we have to be a computer "geek"? What will be the time requirement and how much cash will it take? Is it possible to make a living and how long before the money starts coming in?

The answer to all those questions is a definite "WHO KNOWS"? There are as many different answers as there are people who are in here trying to accomplish it, RIGHT NOW! It would be most likely that in reality, most of them are going to fail. Sorry, but that is the truth.

Fact is that most people don't have what it takes to tough it out. That's just the plain hard truth. Most won't put in either the time or the effort that it will need to take off and do what they want it to do.

And exactly why would that be true? It is the same reason that most of us still work for an employer. We are lazy, like security of a paycheck, won't put in the hard work it will take to get it up and running. And most of all, we won't stop that pesky little voice in us saying, "What if it fails"?

Well, I am here to tell you that until you conquer yourself, you shouldn't even try. Over my life (and I am retired now), I have started up four businesses in the real world.

There isn't a time (looking back) that I wasn't more self assured, more in control, prouder, and happier than I was while running my own business.

I can tell you that it is possible, and not nearly as bad as you may think - that "jumping off the edge" so to speak! I am positively 100% certain of it! You can do it, but they have to believe it, not me, not someone else, - YOU DO!

I've got another one, this one relates to the polls. If you spend alot of time on the computer, wouldn't it be great if you could get paid for it. With this website you can. All that is required is that you download a toolbar to your computer, keep the little man walking by moving your mouse the toolbar (you'll see what i mean when you see the website), and watch the points(which convert to money) roll in. You can also get bonuses for completing offers and getting referals, but they are not required. Sure you aren't going to get rich with this system. I wanted to take the time to tell you a little about the site that i have been participating in lately. The name of the site is points2shop. This isn't a 'Get Free Things' site. In fact, nothing in life is free. However, this is a site that you can use to EARN things that you would otherwise have to pay for.
